I wanted to make a super article today, and start working on other projects for my blog, but I was sick as hell. I’m starting to wonder if I’m not getting sick from the Gagh the other day, I will repeat this, don’t eat live Eisenia fetida at home. But you can try eating bugs with your friends nevertheless. And, that’s what I did today, I shared a cricket flour energy bar with my friend, Glen. Today’s product is a Jimini’s Banana & Dark Chocolate Energy Bar with cricket flour.
I’m not sure that he was entirely convinced at the start, but when I asked him to participate in my blog article (to become famous) he accepted! Plus, we can’t see the crickets in this energy bar so he wasn’t scared to bite in.
Usually you have an article from a consumer, to a consumer, with my personal favourites and all. This time, you have my opinion, but you also have his, a first-time insect consumer (well kind of, he’s already tasted my mealworms when we were in high-school.)
Here is what he thought: He’s not usually a big fan of energy bars, as they are too dry. But he said this one is still a bit dry, but it’s the best one he ever tasted.
If I were to describe it, I wouldn’t say “Banana & Dark Chocolate” but more of a fruity bar with nuts inside.
I’m not going to write anything about the company Jimini’s today, as I’m going to cook with some of their samples, so I’ll tell you about them then, plus, I’m really sick and tired so I don’t feel like making this article huge.
I also asked him to rate the bar, so here goes, on a scale from 1 to 10:
- Jimini’s Banana & Dark Chocolate Energy Bar with cricket flour deserves a 7/10. 10/10 would have been pasta carbonara! This bar certainly isn’t my favourite, but I’d agree rating it 7/10. Plus, since we’re both sick, we only one to share and we were both full.
